Sheree Harper Selected for ACES Graduate Student Research Grant

Sheree Harper’s Graduate Student Research Grant proposal was selected to receive a 2023 ACES Graduate Student Grant in the amount of $1000 from the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). This award aims to increase opportunities for graduate students to contribute to the knowledge of Counselor Education and Supervision and develop future scholars, leaders, and supervisors. Sheree and Dr. Mingo will explore the indifference to Black emotional pain among counselor trainees and practitioners through empathetic accuracy and findings will be used to focus on Black mental health and culturally sensitive practices for counselors and counselor educators.
