Dr. Delila Owens

Dr. Owens is a Professor in the School of Counseling at The University of Akron. Delila’s primary areas of interest include school counseling, multicultural counseling, and urban education. She is a past president of the Counselors for Social Justice and North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

Ferris State University is where Dr. Owens obtained her undergraduate degree. She earned a master’s degree from Central Michigan University and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
